Joining Hands Initiative for Development (JHIF) is a nonprofit organization based in Ghana with a vision of helping individuals become the best version of themselves through mindful change of the mind. We believe in empowering our people to be a positive impact in the world around them by improving health care, advocating for human rights and freedoms of the individual, climate advocacy through environmental sustainability, and structured humanitarian outreach.
Founded in April of 2023.
JHIF is headquartered in Techiman, serving communities in Techiman and beyond in the Bono East Region. We hope to expand our reach throughout Ghana and across Africa.
To provide opportunities and resources that allow individuals and communities to become the best version of themselves.
To create resilient, empowered communities with dignity, opportunity, and justice for all through equitable and sustainable development.

Healthcare, Youth Leadership, Digital Literacy, Environmental Sustainability, Humanitarian Relief, Human Rights are the five pillars JHIF was founded on.
○ Health Care Outreach – Proactive healthcare screenings and health education.
○ Youth Leadership & Digital Empowerment – Mentoring youths and children through skill training workshops.
○ Environmental Sustainability – Conservation through tree planting, sanitation, and pollution reduction initiatives as well as promoting climate change awareness.
○ Humanitarian Assistance – Providing structured and systemic humanitarian relief to the poorest of poor families and households once every quarter.
○ Human Rights – Advocacy and spreading awareness on the dignity, equity, justice, and freedom of every individual.
Purple and Yellow/ Gold.
Purple signifies Dignity, Leadership, compassion, justice, and advocacy. Which is the color of empowerment and inspires us to stand up for what is right. Yellow/ Gold signifies Hope, opportunity, excellence, prosperity, and we believe Inside of everyone there is greatness. Together, they symbolize compassionate empowerment. They encourage making a stand and taking action. Which is what JHIF strives to do.
Our joined hands represent togetherness, working collaboratively with one another, and most importantly that we all share equal responsibility in changing our communities for the better.

Yes. JHIF is officially registered in Ghana as an LBG (Limited by Guarantee) nonprofit organization.
We accept: Donations from individuals, Corporate sponsorship, Grants, In-Kind donations.
Your donations go directly to our healthcare outreaches, empowering youths, digital literacy initiatives, environmental projects, humanitarian relief efforts, and advocacy work.
Yes. JHIF is completely transparent with our financials and will provide statements to our donors and stakeholders.
Programs are implemented quarterly on the last Saturday of the quarter beginning in April.
Definitely. JHIF values any help we can receive. There are opportunities for volunteers in all five pillars of our organization.
Yes. Empowering the next generation is one of our main goals. However, we have guidelines and policies in place to ensure the safety of children.
We raise awareness on the freedoms of every individual; access to quality education, healthcare, and job opportunities. We also work to ensure people know their rights and responsibilities as citizens.
